Union Grove takes two from Kenosha Indian Trail
Union Grove 8, Indian Trail 1
Yet another really strong performance from Sophomore Allie Trudeau in the circle as she fanned 9 ITA batters allowing 1 earned run.  The Broncos got the sticks going with 13 hits in route to the 8-1 victory in the opening game.
Union Grove 11, Indian Trail 3
n the second game the Broncos got off to a bit of a rocky start giving up 2 unearned runs with 2 errors in the frame and a run scoring hit but came back in the bottom of the frame to take a 4-2 lead despite missing 3 starters.  That would be all the runs Sophomore Brittany Moore would need as she, as well as her defense behind her, tightened up and closed the door on ITA.  The Broncos would pound out 17 hits in the game and Moore would go on to fan 11 batters to win the game 11-3.  Coach Boylen had this to say about the day, "We needed this in a bad way.  We have had flashes of what our offensive potential is throughout the season but we've really struggled to maintain it for any period of time.  We seemed to start coming around halfway through our game against BHS on Friday and really carried it well into today against some tough pitchers.  Hopefully this is a sign of things to come as I've been telling our girls we have just been saving up our hits for the post season and this would be a real good time to get hot."
