Westosha Central started slow but ended with a three-home run, five run fifth inning to defeat Badger 10-0 in Lake Geneva Wednesday night.  Leading 5-0 in the bottom of the 5th, the Falcons hit three home runs.  Kayla Konwent led the hit parade, scoring Alyssa Hrncar (3 hits) on her 15th home run of the season.  After Chyanne Onstad doubled, Kira Mickelson hit her 2nd of the season.  She was followed by Olivia Klean’s 2nd of the season.  Klean led all hitters with 4 hits and 3 RBIs.  “Olivia has been doing this all season,” said Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe. “ She just gets overshadowed by all the other hitters we have in the line up

Klean plated the first Falcon run on a single that scored Onstad in the first. She scored in the 3rd on an Elaine Andersen single and a Heidi Holmstrom single scored two more.  Klean scored Mickelson in the 4th on back-to-back doubles.  That was more than enough for Alyssa Hrncar to notch her 15th win of the season. Hrncar allowed one hit, while striking out 8 to secure her 8th shut out of the season.  “Alyssa was her constant self,” said Lampe.  “She stayed ahead of batters and kept them off balance.  When she is given a couple of runs she is very difficult to beat.  With the win Westosha Central improved to 9-0 in the Southern Lakes Conference and 17-2 overall.  They return to action tomorrow when they travel to Union Grove for a conference tilt with the Broncos.
