Kayla Konwent drills her 7th Automatic Home Run of the Season

The Westosha Central softball team defeated Wilmot 6-1 to win their second consecutive Western Kenosha County Invite at Wilmot's Panther Complex on
Saturday. The Falcons used two three-run innings to defeat the Panthers. In the third inning, Chyanne Onstad drove in Alyssa Hrncar with the first run of the game. Kira Mickelson's double scored Onstad and she later scored on a passed ball. Westosha doubled their lead in the 6th. With two on, Kayla Konwent sent a shot to center for her 7th round tripper of the year. The Panthers were able to score an unearned run in the 7th when Sam Schloegl plated Taylor Danielson.
Hrncar earned the complete game win by allowing 6 hits while striking out five. Sarah Hutchinson took the loss for Wilmot.

In the semi-final, Hrncar pitched a 4-hit complete game in defeating Menomonee Falls 2-0. Westosha took the lead in the 4th when Olivia Klean's single plated Konwent with the only run the Falcons would need. They added an insurance run in the 6th when Mickelson drove in Onstad with a double to right. Hrncar struck out 4 in the win. Kelly Burglund took the loss for the Indians.

The Falcons opened the day with a 10-7 slugfest
win against Beaver Dam. Olivia Klean earned the win and Hrncar earned a save. Again it was Klean who had the big bat with one hit and 3 RBIs. Chyanne Onstad
led the team with a single and double and two RBIs. "The offense was very consistent today,"said Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe. " We were very pleased with their approaches at bat. Olivia
and Kira had great days at the plate. Chy(anne) is getting her swing back and
Alyssa was on base all day. We saw positive things from each of them. If the offense continues to produce, we will be in good position."

With the wins the Falcons improved to 8-2 on the season. They return to action on Monday when they travel to Waterford for a Southern Lakes Conference
battle.
