Augusta and Pepin/Alma go 12 innings

 

Augusta 12, Pepin/Alma 10 in 12 innings

Augusta collected 23 hits and scored two runs in the top of the 12th to upset #3 seeded Pepin/Alma in Pepin. Augusta had an eight-run lead going to the bottom of the sixth but saw the Eagles score eight runs to knot the score. In the Eagle seventh there were runners at two and three with the #3 and #4 batters due up but Augusta avoided trouble and moved on. In the Eagle ninth it was a carbon copy of the seventh with runners at two and three but the #3 and #4 didn't drive in the winner. 

 

Shawano 11, Seymour 1 (5 innings)
At Shawano, LaRissa O’Kimosh had three hits – including a walk-off single in the fifth – to lead the Hawks past Seymour. Alli Raddant and Courtney Baumann had two hits apiece for Shawano, and Brianna Kempen had two hits for Seymour.  Baumann earned the victory, scattering six hits. 

 

Portage 4, Reedsburg 3
Portage scored two in the third, one in the fifth and the eventual difference maker int he bottom of the sixth to eliminate Reedsburg from WIAA tournament action. Jennalee Wilson picked up the win in the cirlce, scattering six hits and fanning three. Nellie Hilgendorf doubled for the Warriors who will now play at Columbus on Tuesday, a 10-0 winner over Lodi.

Cambridge 12, Lakeside Lutheran 10
The Blue Jays had a big fourth inning and took an 11-3 lead but the Warriors battled back in the top of the sixth to pull to within one at 11-10. Cambridge managed a run in their half of the sixth and held off the Warriors in the seventh. Cambridge will now travel to Poynette on Tuesday to take on the Pumas at Diamond of Champions.

Waterloo 10, Pardeeville 0 (Division 3)

Deerfield 17, Palmyra-Eagle 0

Wisconsin Dells 13, Sauk Prairie 3

Cuba City 6, Lancaster 5
