Game 2 Minnesota 4, Wisconsin 3 (8 innings and International Tiebreaker)

Minnesota raced out to a 3 -0 lead when they scored two runs in the third. They added yet another in the fourth. That one would be the eventual difference maker.

In the  top of the fifth inning Wisconsin scored three runs when Liz Jarosz (Chippewa Falls) drew a base on balls and Heather Woyak (SPASH) singled, Walker then collected a rbi single scoring Jarosz.  Fonk then lined a triple knocking in both Woyak and Walker.

The game stayed tied in regulation.  The rules for the All Star game are that the teams play an inning of international tie breaker.  Minnesota held Wisconsin scoreless in the top of the eighth. In the bottom half of the eighth and two outs, Morgan Williamson drove in the Minnesota runner giving them a split on the day with Wisconsin.

"The Woodside Sports Complex in Mauston, was an outstanding host," said Wisconsin coach Tom Drohner.   "The fields were awesome!  The experience for both teams was about as good as it gets.  It was a great event, both teams battled back and forth.  There was so much talent on the field, it was great to be a part of.  I was really proud of the way our Wisconsin girls represented themselves and the state."
