The Pacers jumped on the Lancers early and often scoring 4 times in each of the first two innings Friday for a MCC victory.
Alyssa Pavlovich led off with a single and was quickly doubled home by Erin Borchardt. With 1 out Jackie Miller singled home Borchardt. The Pacer added another hit and then Miller scored after a sacrifice and an error. Miley Brooks knocked in the 4th run with a sac fly. The second inning Aubrey Hart led off with a single. Following a walk, Borchardt added another rbi single and Grace Olson knocked a 2 rbi hit to right. Olson later came home on a Lancer error putting the Pacers up 8-0.
The Lancers put 2 on the board in the top of the 3rd, taking advantage of two Pacer errors. Annabell Cerny doubled home a run. Cerny would later come home on an rbi fielders choice. St Joe scored 2 more in the top of the 4th capped by another rbi single by Cerny. Shoreland would add 2 in the bottom of the 4th off 2 hits and 2 Lancer errors. In the 5th, Pavlovich laced a leadoff double to the left field fence and would later score on an rbi ground out by Olson. Cerny would reach on a hit to start the 7th for the Lancers, later scoring on Rutowski's rbi single up the middle. Olson ended the Lancer threat and the game with a 6-U-3 double play.
Pavlovich was 3-3, 4 runs, 2B. Borchardt 2-4, 2 runs, 2 rbi, Olson 2-4, 2 runs, 3 rbi, SB, and Jackie Miller added 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 rbi. Borchardt got the win going all 7, allowing 1 run on 8 hits with 6 K. Cerny led the Lancers with 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 rbi. Shoreland is now 7-4 overall(6-2 MCC) while the Lancers are 3-10(2-7 MCC).
