Shawano 13, Sturgeon Bay 6
Shawano freshman Alli Raddant went 5-for-5 to lead the Hawks to a 13-6 non-conference victory over Sturgeon Bay Tuesday. Raddant finishes the regular season with a school-record .534 (39-for-73) batting average. The Hawks are 13-6 this season.

New Lisbon 14, Necedah 0
New Lisbon beats Necedah 14-0 to win 5th straight conference championship. Have went 69-1 in that time in conference. Makayla Vinz has pitched 16 one hitters in 2 years. She just can't seem get that no-hitter.

Westosha Central clinched the Southern Lakes Conference with a 5 inning 10-0 victory over Wilmot in Paddock Lake.  Sarah Fonk earned her 12th victory (10thin the SLC) by limiting the Panthers to 4 hits.  Although she struck out three, two of her strike outs came in a key moment.  Wilmot's Taylor Kontaxis led off the game with a triple to left.  Fonk then struck out Sam Wightman and Justine Schattner to minimize the threat.  The Panthers ended the inning grounding out to shortstop.  "That was an example of what Sarah has done all year.  She just picks the moment to get to another level," said Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe.

The Falcons struck early and often against Schattner. Brittney Blazich led off with a single, stole 2nd base and then scored on Taylor Bergles' single to right field.  Kayla Konwent then hit a towering shot to left-center for her ninth home run of the year.  ";Kayla was patient at the plate and was able to drive a ball in the zone," said Lampe.

By the end of the inning Maggie McMullin added a two run RBI triple and the Falcons plated 6 runs.  "Generally, you feel pretty good with that lead and Sarah in the circle.  It was great to get off to such a good start," added Lampe.

In the end the Falcon 14-hit attack was paced by Blazich's three hits and two runs, Kayla Konwent's two hits and 3 RBIs, Sarah Fonk's two hits and two RBIs, Liz Fonk's two hits and Haley Spoerl's two hits.  "I'm glad the conference race is over and we finally finished the way we wanted to.  This is a really good conference and you can't take any team for granted. Now we can start to focus on the post season," Lampe said.;

With the win the Falcons are 13-0 in the SLC and 16-0 overall.  They finish the conference season with a trip to Union Grove on Thursday.

Kettle Moraine Round Robin
Shoreland Lutheran  played in our traditional end of the year quad that included Lakeside Lutheran tonight at Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
We were matched against LLHS in game one and boy were our bats hot. We scored 20 runs in 5 innings. Junior Emily Ausloos has a career day going 5x5 with 2 triples and 8 rbi! The top 4 in the lineup including Megan Lemke, Hannah Peterson, Alissa Puder and Ausloos went 13x16 with 12R & 15 RBI.

Unfortunately, we used our runs all up in the 1st game as we were only able to muster 2 against the host team in the final. We struggled trying to adjust to a significantly slower pitcher after getting so many positive at bats against the Warriors.

Union Grove takes Waterford under, 3-2

Game Notes: The Broncos got a great defensive performance to hold down a very good hitting Waterford team and finally managed to get some hits to find holes in a tough Waterford defense. The Broncos trailed in this game entering the 7th 2-1 when Cassidy Kortendick led off the frame with a shot into the wind over the left centerfield fence to tie it at two. After a groundout the Broncos got a hustle double from Zada Ballew. Waterford got a big strikeout of the pinch hitter and the Broncos countered with a pinch runner in Morgan Nelson. This brought the Broncos leader in Annie McClelland to the plate and she delivered with what would be the game winning 2 strike, 2 out, line shot to center. That run would be all her freshman sister Alyssa would need to slam the door shut and pick up the W.
