Poynette moves to 17-1; SPASH claims 19th straight WVC title

SPASH won it's 19th consecutive Wisconsin Valley Conference title with a win over D.C. Everest on Tuesday afternoon. The final score was 11-1 behind a 14-hit attack highlighted by with doubles by Pavelski, Cherney and Lass who also homered for the winners

Poynette moved to 17-1 with a 10-3 win over Lakeside Lutheran as Mattie Bredeson got the win and ripped a liner over the leftfield fence for a two-run home run in the first inning. She got relief help from Casey Fountain who struck out four in an inning and a third. Poynette collected 10 hits in all with Lizzie Schwenn doing much of the damage to the Warriors. She tripled and had a pair of two strike liners to score runners RISP. No other Pumas had more than one hit as the seven other safeties including a double by Brianna Kowald were evenly distributed.
