SPASH rolls to a pair of Victories in Watertown today

Scores were 10-0 and 7-1

The SPASH Panthers have become road warriors but for the first time in two weeks their games today were not played on fields in Poynette. Instead they traveled to Watertown to makeup a lost date from a week ago.

SPASH scored three runs in the second, three in the third, two in the sixth and added a pair in the seventh to claim a 10-0 win in game one. The winning pitcher was Andrea Cherney who tossed the first five innings allowing just four hits, walking one and fanning six. 

Leading hitters in the game for SPASH were Cherney helping herself out with a 2x3 day and an rbi. The Miklesh sisters had two ghits apiece while Jones also banged out a pair of safeties. 

Watertown's offensive highlight was a 3x3 day by Bacchi. 

In game two Jones scattered six hits, allowed just the one earned run, walked one and struck out four. The losing pitcher was Dunn who threw the first three and got relief help from Subke. Dunn allowed the first six runs, all earned, walked one and did not record a strikeout.

Leading hitters for SPASH were the Miklesh sisters with two apiece, Mattie Fink went 3x4 with a double. Cherney kept her bat hot with a 2x4 game and Jones was 2x3. Saloun doubled and tripled for SPASH. On the host team's side Harshberger and Thompson each had two hits including Thompson's two-bagger.

 

 

Spash is now 7-0 on the season with wins over Janesville Craig, Poynette, Wisconsin Rapids, Green Bay Preble (2-0) and now two wins over Watertown.
