Kayla Schwebke of Laconia; Mya Knuteson of Poynette set marks to be beaten in the future

Kayla Schwebke of Laconia wrapped up her high school career with a third straight WIAA Division 3 state title, leading the Spartans to the the championship game for the fourth consecutive season. She broke the state career record for strikeouts with 1,333. She also recorded 68 shutouts in her illustrious career.

Mya Knuteson set a state record for the highest throw out percentage by a catcher (more than 12 in a season) when she threw out every would be base stealer she attempted to gun down. She also holds the record for longest streak of would be base stealers with 18 in a row.

There are most likely other state records that were broken during the season or records that should be updated. If you have information that is pertinent to this issue just email Bob at faspich1@aol.com and he will get things taken care of.

If you know of pitchers who recorded no-hitters in games that were at least five innings in length contact Bob with the pitcher's name, school, opponent in that game, the date, the score and how many strikeouts she recorded.
