Payton Kastenschmidt drove in two runs while Abby Luzak and Schwebke each drove in one as Laconia rolled to the win over Weyauwega-Fremont. It was the second win of the season for Laconia over W/F.
Laconia got on the board in the top of the second when with two outs and nobody aboard Bartz bunted safely to third base. Grahl reached on an error by at ss, advanced to second while Bartz advanced to third. When Tipton reached on an error at 1b Bartz scored. Kastenschmid then grounded out leaving runners in scoring position but the damage had been done as Schwebke, other than two runs allowed in the sectional semi-final against Campbellsport had not relinquished a run all year.
In the top of the fourth Laconia added some insurance when Bartz grounded out to p, bunt. Grahl singled to left field. Tipton doubled down the rf line; Grahl advanced to third. Kastenschmid grounded out to 2b, RBI; Tipton advanced to third; Grahl scored. Luczak singled up the middle, RBI; Tipton scored. Schwebke popped up to 1b.
Laconia left no doubt about at three-peat about to take place in the sixth when they scored two more as Grahl grounded out to p. Tipton tripled to left center. Kastenschmid singled to center field, RBI; Tipton scored. Kastenschmid advanced to second on an illegal pitch. Luczak struck out swinging. Schwebke singled up the middle, RBI; Kastenschmid scored. Gaffney pinch ran for Schwebke. Johnson lined out to p.
