Westosha Central used a five hit, 9 strike out performance and a late rally to overcome a slow start and defeat Waterford 6-1 in Paddock Lake. Hrncar allowed only one run (earned) in the Wolverine's last at bats to earn her 10 victory of the season. "Alyssa did a good job of working ahead of the batters. When she needed, she was able to go into another gear." (co-head coach Tom Lampe) The Falcons took the lead in the 3rd inning with an unearned run. With two out Olivia Klean reached on an error. Becca Edwards was able to plate her on another error in centerfield. They opened up their lead with a 5 run 5th inning. Sarai Roberts led off with a single and Hrncar put the next pitch in play for a throwing error. Roberts scored on the play and Hrncar ended up at 3rd base. She scored on a single by Kayla Kerkman. Olivia Klean then plated Kerkman. A two run home run by Kira Mickelson ended the scoring "The bats were cold early but we did find our groove in the end. All in all that's what counts" (co-head coach Tom Lampe) With the win the Falcons improved to 16-2 overall and 12-0 in the Southern Lakes. They also clinched at least a tie for the conference championship (their 6th in a row). They can win the SLC outright with a win over county rival Wilmot on Thursday in Paddock Lake.
