Poynette scored 12 runs but only four were earned in a win over Lodi. The Pumas collected 11 hits of losing pitcher Hailey Hellenbrand and were led by a 4x4 night by senior outfielder Rachel Renz who also stole three bases.

The Pumas scored six unearned runs in the first inning and added three more earned runs in the second with the big blow being a triple to the base of the fence in rightcenter at the 220' marker. Maegan Brookins collected a rare inside-the-park home run on a blast to the fence in the leftfield power alley.  Mya Knuteson added a double and went 2x2 while Haley Radewan also had a double. Dredske had two hits as did Allison Tomlinson.

Mattie Bredeson picked up the win, her 17th of the season against no defeats. She allowed two runs, both unearned, walked none and fanned six in four innings.

"We were a bit inconsistent at the plate today," said Head Coach Bob Tomlinson. Taking cuts on lower pitches than we normally do was the case."

The Pumas play two games on Saturday in the Poynette Jamboree.
