Beats Stoughton and Westosha Central

Game 1 (vs. Stoughton):
In our first of two games at the Poynette Jamboree we matched up against Stoughton - the leader of the Badger South Conference.  The offense got off to a quick start with 2 runs in the 1st.  Haley Wynn drew a walk to lead off the game and after a double by Alex Cimler put runners at 2nd/3rd with 1 out, Kenzie Sutton and Emily LaMonte delivered back to back singles to plate Wynn and Cimler.

The offense would explode for 5 runs in the 3rd inning aided by singles by Kayla Jaskulski, LaMonte, and Nadalia Haita and RBI doubles by Sarah Bauer and Kathryn Bay.  The final blow in the run-rule shortened game was another 5-spot in the top of the 6th with Cimler, Jaskulski, and LaMonte delivering singles and Maddy Lenzke and Nadalia Haita delivering the RBI doubles.  On the day the Falcons banged out 17 hits with 5 doubles.

Sarah Bauer got the win in the circle throwing only 59 total pitches in the game.  She worked through the lineup spotting her pitches and letting her defense do work behind her.

Game 2 (vs. Westosha Central):
In our second and final game at the Poynette Jamboree we matched up against Westosha Central.  Whitnall got on the board first on a single by Haley Wynn.  Kayla Jaskulski moved her over to second on a sacrifice.  Cimler moved her to 3rd with a sacrifice fly to RF.  Wynn scored on a single by Mackenzie Sutton.

Both teams hung zeros on the board through the next four frames and Westosha evened the scored with a solo run in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Falcons loaded the bases with no one out with three straight singles.  Sarah Bauer came into the game for Whitnall to try and quiet the rally and missed inside hitting Kayla Konwent to plate Westosha's first run.  Bauer then coaxed a flyout to shallow RF, a soft liner to first, and a strikeout to work her magician-like magic.

Whitnall went back to work in the top of the 6th and tacked on two more runs.  With 1 out, Wynn singled through the right side and Kayla Jaskulski drew a walk to put runners at 1st and 2nd.  Whitnall pulled off the double steal and on the throw down to 3rd the ball bounced into left allowing Wynn to score run #2.  Cimler then singled to plate Jaskulski for the final Whitnall run.

Westosha plated a run in the bottom of the 6th to close the gap to 3-2.  After Elaine Anderson reached on an error.  Bauer got Becca Edwards to line out to LF. Kayla Kerkman singled towards the 3/4 hole, but on the play, Jaskulski cut down Anderson trying to go 1st to 3rd on the play.  A Jenna Kontaxis single put runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs and Alyssa Hrncar delivered with her 3rd hit of the game with a lined single to left plating Kerkman.  Bauer was then able to get Konwent to fly out to center to end the threat.

In the bottom of the 7th Cheyenne Onstad singled to lead off the inning again putting pressure on Whitnall to make plays.  Bauer struck out Kira Mickelson for out one and then snagged a line drive off the bat of Carrie Weis and tossed to first to complete the game-ending double play.
