Lourdes takes two from North Fondy

Lourdes Academy Lady Knights won both games Friday night in a double-header with North Fon du Lac.  In Game 1, Lindsey Kloiber and Lauren Schiek led the offense with 2 RBIs each, while Mollie Bartlett hit a deep double to bring in 1 RBI and Paiton Proud got a hit and 1 RBI, as well.  Defensively, Lourdes was sound allowing only 3 hits, as junior pitcher Lauren Schiek fanned 5 and pitched her way to a 5th shut out this season.  Final score: Lourdes win 6-0.

 
In game two, back-up pitcher Mollie Bartlett (junior) held her own on the mound allowing 8 hits and coming up strong when it was needed in 6 innings of play.  Offense was led by Ciara Zemke, who went 3 for 4 (2 singles, 1 triple) and helped the Knights score 5 runs to edge out North Fondy 5-4. Winning pitcher was Mollie Bartlet while Lauren Schiek was credited with a save.
