Poynette Jamboree is nearly scheduled -- Friday opponents have been paired

Look for a preliminary list of games soon

Plans are shaping up and falling into place for the Poynette Fastpitch Jamboree scheduled for May 6th and 7th. Games will be played Friday in Poynette, Arlington, Portage as well as one game in Lodi.

There will be at least 30 schools playing at least one game on Friday with 22 games in all. On Saturday 40 schools will play a total of 41 games.

“We will be using Portage on the Friday portion of the Jamboree for the first time ever, “ said Bob Tomlinson. “Portage had new light installed this week on both of their varsity fall fields, baseball and softball. If they are ready to be used we will help break them in on that Friday night.”

Teams playing at least one game on Friday are: Appleton Xavier, Baldwin-Woodville, Baraboo, Belmont, Bonduel, Catholic Central, Columbus, DeForest, Juda/Albany, LaCrosse Logan, Lodi, Luxemburg-Casco, Madison LaFollette, Marshall, Mineral Point, New Lisbon, Northwestern, Oak Creek, Portage, Poynette, Randolph, Rice Lake, Sauk Prairie, Sahwano, Stratford, Thorp, Union Grove, Waupun, Winneconne and Westosha Central.

Teams on the slate for Saturday games are: Adams-Friendship, Appleton Xavier,  Baldwin-Woodville, Brookwood, Beaver Dam, Catholic Central, Cuba City, DeForest, Eau Claire North, G-E-T, Independence/Gilmanton, Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Luxemburg-Casco, Madison LaFollette, Madison West, Marshall, Mineral Point, New Lisbon, Northwestern, Oak Creek, Oconomowoc, Pacelli, Parkview, Pecatonica, Pewaukee, Portage, Poynette, Prairie Farm, Rice Lake, River Valley, Shawano, Stoughton, StratfordThorp, Turner, Union Grove, Wautoma, Westosha Central,  and Whitnall,

“The number of teams playing on Friday is way up from years past. The Saturday list is down a few for this year. Prom conflicts with the desires of many coaches to play in the Jamboree.
