Union Grove got a lights out performance from Brittany Moore tonight as she threw the 5 inning perfect game with 10 strikeouts. She got all the help she would need via a leadoff homerun from Junior Kallista Hribar. The Broncos would add another run in the 1st as Moore would single, steal a base, move to third on a groundout and score on an RBI single off the bat of Alyssa McClelland. The Broncos would add two more in the 2nd on a one out walk followed by a three singles surrounded by a fielders choice and a 2 RBI single from Claire Ryan. The Broncos got 1 more in the third as a single, stolen base and WP put Emily Knight on third where she scored on an RBI single off the bat of Megan Hribar. In the 4th the Broncos got a leadoff single and SB from Moore then scored on another RBI single from McClelland followed by a two run bomb off the bat of Brooklyn Ottelien. They concluded the scoring in the 5th with a leadoff single from Megan Hribar followed by an error and a groundout. Moore then doubled Hribar home, Ryan walked and McClelland drove in both on a smash to centerfield. Coach Boylen said this about the game, "Elkhorn is a good up and coming team who is clearly well coached. They will hold their own in this conference soon but today they ran into a buzzsaw in Moore and as the game went on we made some adjustments offensively that allowed us to find some holes."
