Junior Haley Radewan  and sophomore Mattie Bredeson combined to toss a three-hitter in the win over Belleville. Radewan got the win allowing one earned run on two hits. Bredeson tossed the fourth and fifth allowing a scratch single to right and fanned five with no walks.

Meagan Brookins went 3x3 for the Pumas including her first-ever varsity home run. Juniors Allison Tomlinson and Mya Knuteson both went 2x2 in a winning cause and both doubled to boot. Radewan helped her own cause with a pair of safeties in three trips. Brea Falstad had one hit as did McKenna Horacek , Brooke Dredske and Rachel Renz.

“Our pitching was pretty good tonight and our offense got us going in the first inning,” said Poynette Head Coach Bob Tomlinson. “We still have a lot to teach and learn in the baserunning aspect of this game though.”

The Pumas boosted their season record to 6-2 and are 6-0 in Capitol Conference action. They host Lake Mills in a Capitol North game on Friday and host Nekoosa in a Capitol North/South Central mandatory cross-over on Saturday.
