It’s been a better few days than the earlier spring. There is no doubt about that.
Yesterday I started preliminary plans for the 2016 Poynette Fastpitch Jamboree. It appears tonight that we have 29 teams playing on Friday, May 6th and 38 playing on Saturday, May 7th. Those numbers are higher for Friday games and lower for Saturday participation.
The higher number of Friday games forces me to look for games at a couple of other venues and I’ve covered that today. We will be utiltizing Lodi’s varsity field for one game on Friday and both of the DeForest and Portage fields that day,
On Saturday, May 7th there are 38 teams on the list and a total of either 36 or 37 games will be played that day.
I have posted a list of teams that I have on my list of teams that requested games. It’s posted on the Poynette Fastpitch Organization’s website. You can get there by going to the Documents page of the website and then look for Poynette Jamboree file and click there and find the List of Teams sheet. Here is the link to that document.
Spread the word that the list is posted. I don’t want to schedule somebody who isn’t planning on being there and I surely don’t want to miss scheduling in teams that are expecting games.
