Luxemburg-Casco nips Wrightstown, Shawano wins, Columbus as well

Both Luxemburg-Casco and Wrightstown are expected to contend in the newly formed North Eastern Confernce. Both teams also collected near double digit hits in what ultimately turned out to be a pitcher's dual. Luxemburg-Casco scored the game's only run in the top of the third inning to claim the thrilling 1-0 road victory. Taylor Cravillion hit a one out double and courtesy runner Sammy Weinfurter scored on Brianna Prevost's RBI triple to plate the run.

Wrightstown's Makayla Neinas and LC's Cassie Schiltz both worked out of one out, bases loaded jams in the first inning by recording strike outs for the second and third outs of the inning. Both teams again had two runners on in the second but failed to score as the pitchers again recorded strike outs. Wrightstown threatened again in the seventh with the tying run on third and the winning run on second but Schiltz ended the game by striking out her twelfth batter of the game.

Luxemburg-Casco is now 4-0/1-0. Wrightstown is 4-2/0-1
