Columbus won a 9-2 gane against Cambridge on Monday in a Capitol Conference crossover game.
The host Cardinals scored nine runs on eight hits, and were lead offensively by senior catcher Lydia Brockel who went 3-for-3 with two doubles and 4 RBIs.
Sophomore pitcher Lauren Kirchberg went four strong innings, striking out five, allowing one hit and one run. Sophomore Brianna Farrington closed out the game with three solid innings of relief, including four strike outs, two hits and one run.
