Poynette, WI - Bob Tomlinson, Head Softball Coach at Poynette and Director of the Annual Poynette Fastpitch Jamboree, Wisconsin's largest high school fastpitch event, along with Portage Co-Head Coach Connie Wampler have announced that the event will utilize the Portage fields on Friday, May 6th this year.
Adding the Portage facility will free up some diamond space elsewhere and allow more teams to get games on Friday. Portage is adding lights to its varsity field. It is not known at this time if they will be erected by the 6th. If so, there could be as many as five games in Portage that day and eight more on Saturday.
