14th ISF World Championships are on Sports Canada TV

Hello Fastpitch fans

The 14th ISF World Championships are on Sports Canada TV. I broke down and bought a subscription to to the event. It was just Twenty bucks and if I had the time I could watch all 66 games. However, they are not archived so just live action is the only option.

As I type this bulletin tonight I am watching the Pool B game between Venezuela and Japan. Both pitchers are crow-hopping but the Venezuelan pitcher Ramon Jones is getting out there a bit farther than his Japanese counterpart. I have been impressed with the form of both pitcher's though. Neither takes the ball out of his glove until with a back swing.

It's a smoky night in Saskatoon as there are forest fires north of the city and the prevailing winds have been carrying the smoke into the city and the ballpark.

The cost of watching the entire tournament is just twenty bucks in U.S. funds. That's actually pretty cheap.

The ISF uses a 20 second clock. The pitcher must deliver the next pitch before the countdown clock hits zero and the batter must keep one foot in the batter's box between pitches.

Have a great day.

Keep it Rising!

Bob
