Union Grove got an  8-0 win tonight over Beloit Memorial to capture the Regional Championship.

Brittany Moore was dealing in the circle, striking out 14 while walking none and allowing 2 hits.  Moore would get all the help she needed in the first when the Broncos got a two-out single from Claire Ryan followed by a single from Allie Trudeau.  After a PB allowed the runners to advance to 2nd and 3rd Alyssa McClelland would follow with an RBI single.  Bailey Thur would wrap up the scoring in the inning, hitting her 6th homerun of the season for a four-run first.  The Broncos added another three in the 2nd highlighted by an RBI double off the fence from Trudeau before adding their final run in the 6th on a solo shot off the bat of Brooklyn Ottelien, her ninth.

Coach Boylen added. "it was good to see our girls come out of the gates hot.  We've had a long layoff and haven't been able to get outside much given the recent weather.  Our girls busted their butts to get our field playable tonight because they were hungry to play and it showed with the way they played."
