Poynette wins at Lodi

Collects 8 Doubles on the day

In a Capitol Conference North makeup game, Poynette banged out 22 hits including eight doubles in a win over Lodi.

Things got going quickly for the Pumas as they scored five runs in the first inning then added two in the second, six in the third to set the tone.

The winning pitcher was junior righthander Allie Bredeson. Two other pitchers worked in the circle for the Pumas, Haley Radewan and Jordi Horne. All-in-all the three pitchers allowed just two hits and walked four batters.

Leading hitters for Poynette were: Jordyn Mackey 4x5, Shelby Wheeler 3x4, Brooke Dredske 2x3 with a double, Riley Barnharst with a double, Emily Cibulka 2x4 with a double, Dani Treinen 3x4 with two doubles and Haley Radewan 2x2 with two doubles.

Anna Manke went 1x2 for Lodi while Allison Breunig was 1x1. Hailey Hellenbrand in leftfield and Becca Hyatt made some nice catches to take extra base his from several Pumas.

The Pumas boosted their season record to 20-1 and the conference record to 15-0. They play at Waterloo on Tuesday, host Wisconsin Dells on Thursday and then host Wautoma and Nekoosa on Friday to put a wrap on the regular season.
