Union Grove wins Chippewa Falls Invite

Claire Ryan goes 6x11 with 2 homers and 8 rbi on the day

After a 4 1/2 hour bus ride and three games, the Union Grove Broncos claimed the championship at the Chippewa Falls invite on Saturday. In the first game Allie Trudeau struck out 16 and walked none while giving up 3 hits , a 3-0 win against Lacrosse Central.  
  
In the second game Brittany Moore did more of the same going six complete against Chippewa Falls striking out 14 and walking 1 while surrendering 2 hits and 2 unearned runs.   Claire Ryan paced the offense with 2 homers and 6 RBIs in the game as the Broncos got a 12-2 victory in 6.  
  
In the championship game, the Broncos got another stellar performance from Allie Trudeau as she surrendered 1 run on 6 hits while striking out 7 and walking none.  The Broncos parlayed 8 hits into 4 runs and took the championship 4-1.  
  
On the day the Junior duo of Moore and Trudeau combined for 38k's and 1 bb while scattering 11 hits in the 3 games with 1 ER allowed.  The Broncos hit the ball well all day compiling 37 hits in the three games and got key offensive performances from a number of girls but none more so than Junior Claire Ryan who went 6-11, 2 Hrs and 8 RBIs.
