Westosha Central won two games at the Poynette Jamboree to improve to 16-2 on the season by defeating Waukesha North 14-0 in 5 innings and Eau Claire North 2-1 in the nightcap.  The Falcons score 6 runs in the first to defeat Waukesha North in the early session.  Kayla Konwent led to offense with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs.  Chyanne Onstad added 4 RBIs with a grand slam to finish the scoring for the Falcons.  Olivia Klean earned the win allowing only 1 hit and striking out 4.  "The offense really took it to them early and Kayla was just on fire,” stated Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe.  “ Olivia settled in a took command of the game.  We really needed a performance like that from her."

In the night cap the Falcons were ou thit 2 to 7 by Eau Claire North but were able to plate enough runs for the win.  Kayla Konwent started the scoring with her 14th home run of the season.  The Falcons were able to add a run in the 6th.  With Alyssa Hrncar at 3rd and one out, Chyanne Onstad was able to reach on an error at shortstop which scored Hrncar.  The Falcons needed solid defense to maintain their lead in the bottom of the 6th.  North's first batter Brooke Thompson reached on an error and scored on a double by Abbey Long.  Lexie Revie then singled and took second on a head's up play to put runners on 2nd and 3rd with no out.  That's when Hrncar stepped it up.  A line out to Kira Mickelson with a double up to Sarai Roberts left North with two out and the tying run on 3rd.  Hrncar then struck out Anna Holtz to end the threat.  North got the lead off runner on in the 7th but a double play and pop out to Mickelson secured the win.  "That was a great and intense softball game,” said Lampe.  “Alyssa did a great job of raising her level when she needed to.   The defense stepped it up at the right time.  We're happy with the result."

The Falcons will return to action this Tuesday when they host Lake Geneva Badger in a Southern Lakes Conference matchup.
