The Screaming Eagles pounded out 14 hits to back the four-hit pitching of Mackenzie Dane in a 12-1 victory at Abbotsford on Friday, May 1.
Dane walked and struck out three, throwing just 91 pitches over her seven innings of work.
Remi Orr's two-run homer cracked the scoreboard in the Chequamegon second inning. The Screaming Eagles tacked on four in the thrid on a single by Emily Mader, double by Emily Ernest, sacrifice fly by Danielle Masterson, RBI single by Morgan Hilgart, an error, a walk and a two-run single by Kayla Herbst. Hilgart doubled and Orr drove in two more runs in a three-run fourth. A three-run seventh was highlighed by an RBI single by Hilgart and two-run single by Megan Mader.
The Screaming Eagles had hits in eight of the nine spots in the batting order, including a 3-for-4 night for Hilgart and two hits each by Emily Mader, Masterson, Orr and Herbst Herbst had three RBI on the night.
The Screaming Eagles, 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the Marawood North Conference, travel to Athens on Monday.
