Westosha Central opened up their weekend with a 10-0 win over Rice Lake at the Poynette Jamboree.  The Falcons pounded out 12 hits, including Kayla Konwent's 10th home run of the season.  Alyssa Hrncar and Chyanne Onstad led the offense with 3 hits each.  Hrncar and Konwent scored three times each while Onstad had 3 RBIs.  Elaine Andersen added two more RBIs as the Falcons score three in the first, two more in the 3rd and five in the final two innings to seal the game.  Hrncar earned the win allowing only 3 hits while striking out 7 for her second shut out in two days.  "What can I say about Alyssa.  Once again, she got ahead of the hitters and kept them off balance.  She is emerging as one of the top pitchers around.  We were very pleased with the overall team effort both offensively and defensively.  We came with a lot of energy right off the bat.  Everyone contributed to this win,”  said Co-Head Coach  Tom Lampe.   With the win the Falcons improved to 14-2 for the season.  They will play two more in Poynette tomorrow when they face Waukesha North at 9:00 and Eau Claire North at 1:00.

Sophomore third sacker Brooke Dredske cracked her third and fourth home runs of the season on Friday night to lead Poynette to a victory over Sauk Prairie. Dredske hit her first one in the top of the first and added a later one in the fifth inning. Riley Barnharst doubled as did Jordi Horne. Jordan Blochwitz got the win for the Pumas.
