Prairie Farm seeking games

Fastpitch Bulletin

Hello Fastpitch Fans,

It was a gorgeous day in Columbia County with a high of 72 and bright sunshine. It was a tad windy but we'd all take days like this every day for practice or games.

I received an e-mail from Lori Boesl who is one of the Co-Head Coaches at Prarire Farm High School. That school just entered its second year of varsity competition. Unfortunately for Prairie Farm's players and coaches their schedule looks more like the high school schedules from back in the early days of WIAA softball where the season limit was only 12 regular season games and then the regionals started. Prairie Farm has just 12 regular season games on their schedule as of tonight. Coaches Lori Boesl and Lori Bates would like to find more games and perhaps a tournament/invitational to get their girls into so they can play more softball. If your team has an opening and you are within an hour's drive or so of Prairie Farm, give Lori Boesel a call at 715-949-1024 and she'll get the ball rolling or bouncing from there with her AD.

And speaking of scheduling games, Poynette is still looking for a few games for it's JV team. There are lots of possible dates as well. If interested just contact me and I'll take care of getting our AD involved right away.

I had a question posed my way yesterday concerning the DP/Flex rule. It's really a simple rule but one that many people struggle to understand. Page 34 of this year's rules book covers it in Rule 3-3-6 so bone up on it there. It's a great way to use 10 players instead of 9 and keep an extra player with a smile on her face.

Have a great day!

Keep it Rising!

Bob
