Fastpitch Bulletin

Let ‘er Rip!

Hello Fastpitch fans!

To get started with tonight’s bulletin I am announcing that Tim Roehrig, head softball coach at Kaukauna High School wrapped up a 27-win season in 2014 which boosted him over the 300 Wins Milepost that The Fastpitch Chronicle posts on this site. His 300th win came on May 21st against Appleton West in a 5-0 win. The Ghosts then won three more games before bowing out of the tournament series, completing a 27-2 season. Congratulations to Tim.

The Poynette Summer Jamboree is this weekend. Action gets underway with a five games on Friday evening then Saturday and Sunday are full days and hopefully under sunny skies. Thirty six teams will compete in four age divisions.

Organization thoughts for the Capitol Area Fall Fastpitch leagues are underway. Team leaders will be receiving an e-mail early next week as a means to get them thinking about organizing for the September and October leagues.

I noticed in the WFSCA All Star Programs that McFarland head coach Dave Halvorson has accumulated more than 100 victories in his seven year stint after replacing WFSCA Hall of Fame coach Steve Schmikla. Congratulations to Dave. I have added his name to the list of coaches who have won at least 100 varsity games.

That’s it for tonight!

Keep it Rising!

Bob
