Junior pitcher Emily Kircher pitched a great game tonight at Haines Field in
front of the home town croud! Going to the bottom of the 4th inning leading by one,the Eagles strung together several hits to open up the game and cruise to another conference win! 4-1 in the Dunn St. Croix conference and
overall.....Monday the Eagles will take on Durand in a non- conference game

Stevens Point 26, Portage 1

SPASH rolled to a four-inning victory in Portage due to the fact that the fields in Stevens Point are unplayable. A 16-run first set the tone as SPASH collected 16 hits in all and drew a dozen base on balls. Drohner and Klude both went 3x3 for SPASH while Fluguar was 3x4, Worzella was 2x2 and Roth went 2x3. Drohner and Kawlewksi homered for SPASH while Fluguar tripled. Klude and Kaminski both doubled for SPASH. Mills went 2x2 for the Warriors who collected just four its off Drohner's pitching. The Warriors were charged with four errors.
 

Westosha Central 22, Lake Geneva Badger 2

The Westosha Central Softball team got off to a hot start by scoring 8 runs in
the first inning to defeat Badger 22-2 in Lake Geneva last night.  The Falcons
used two three run home runs to jump out to a big lead.  Kayla Konwent hit her fourth home run of the year and Kira Mickelson her first to cap the big inning. 
“We’re seeing the ball real well right now.  Hopefully it continues all season
long.”  (co head coach Tom Lampe)  The Falcons finished their scoring by plating 11 runs in the 4th inning to finish off the game.  The offense was led by Alyssa Hrncar (2 hits, 2 runs) Taylor Bergles (3 hits and 2 RBIs), Konwent (3 hits and 5 RBIs), Larkin Langston (2 hits and 2 RBIs), Liz Fonk (3 hits), and Brooke Biedrzycki (2 hits and 1 RBI).  On the mound Olivia Klean earned the win.  She and Hrncar gave up 2 hits, 2 runs (neither earned) and struck out 6.  “It was a good solid game by both Olivia and Alyssa.  They are gaining more and more confidence everyday.”  (co head coach Tom Lampe)  With the win the Falcons improved to 4-2 and 3-0 in the SLC.  They return to action on Saturday when they face Zion Benton at the Western Kenosha County Invite.
 

Union Grove 4, Delevan-Darien

A solid game tonight for Union Grove as they got the win 4-0 in a battle of pitchers. The sticks for UG were quiet until the 6th when UG was able to finally break off the rust, string together some hits, and capitalize on a couple DD miscues to plate 3 runs. UG would add an additional insurance run in the 7th but behind a strong performance by sophomore pitcher Allie Trudeau and a flawless defense backing her, it would prove to be un-needed. On the night Trudeau gave up just one hit on a dribbler up the middle while walking 2 and striking out 10. Offensively sophomore Sam Carey went 2-3 on the night with a run scored and 2 RBI's, junior Cassidy Kortendick added 2 RBI's and sophomore Alyssa McClelland chimed in with a 2-3 night and run scored.

Iowa Grant 2, Riverdale 1

Cobb, WI - Iowa-Grant remained unbeaten by nipping Riverdale 2-1 with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Riverdale had scored one run in the top of the first. The winner was Stanton while Meister absorbed the loss. Riverdale outhit the winners 8-6.

Verona 7, Sun Prairie 4

In a game between two highly regarded Division 1 teams, Verona remained unbeaten while playing Sun Prairie in Florida. It was a six-inning game down there (probably due to a time limit). Verona collected 15 hits in the game.

Waterloo 3, Columbus 1

Waterloo tripped up Columbus 3-1 on Thursday as Pirate pitcher Alli Renforth scattered six Columbus hits. The Pirates trailed 1-0 heading to the bottom of the seventh when they plated all three runs. The win keeps the Pirates a game ahead of Marshall int he Capitol South Division while the loss drops Columbus to three games behind Poynette in the loss column in the Capitol North. O'Keefe went 3x3 including a triple for Columbus.

Potosi 12, Lancaster 8

A game that featured 20 runs in all saw Potosi take down Lancaster in a non-conference game in Potosi. The winners collected as many hits as they did runs as they bested the Flying Arrows.

Randolph 15, Princeton/Green Lake 12

The Rockets laced 18 hits in a win over the coop team. Michalyala Swanson got the win for Randolph.

Middleton 13, Beloit Memorial 3

Trailing 3-0 heading to the bottom of the fourth the Cardinals scored two,t hen seven in the ffith and addd four more in the sixth to get a six-inning, 10-run rule win over the Purple Knights. Stormer got the win.
