Fastpitch Bulletin

That one is high and tight!

Hello Fastpitch Folks!

Things are moving along. The season officially begins in two weeks. We're putting things together quickly in terms of Pre-Season watch lists, team previews and outlooks, conference previews and more.

It appears that there may be, for the first time ever, more than one softball rankings this year. For the past 13 years the Fastpitch Chronicle has been the state's rankings center. We've called upon coaches, former coaches, umpires and knowledgeable fans who get out and watch games. Each Sunday those rankers send their list of top 15 teams to me. From there I do the tallies and get the rankings posted. The system has been unbelievably accurate throughout those 13 years. We'll be posting a list of teams to be tracked in the next couple of weeks. Once games get going statewide we'll begin posting actual rankings.

We're already received team, conference and area outlooks. We'll beging posting them very soon.

The state is covered in white stuff. A fastpitch friend of mine refers to it as "white manure." I'm sure you will agree that his name for snow this time of they year is the way we all look at the stuff.

It's time to put together team previews and e-mail them to me.

I'll be waiting to hear from more than 400 of you soon. I've asked key people around the state to help out.

Have a great day!

Keep It Rising!

Bob
