Fastpitch Bulletin

The National Federation of High School athletic associations is conducting meetings in Indianapolis this week. As a matter of fact they are already concluded. If we're lucky we'll get a report from our Wisconsin rep on the softball rules committee, John Peterson.

Lst night's Bulletin got a little attention I'd guess as some travel ball information filtered into my inbox today.

If you are in the Waukesha area this weekend and thirst for some fastpitch action, the Blazer's Blast will be going on. The next weekend there is a tournament in Salem called the Battle of the Borders. There is also one in Horicon. Of course the Poynette Summer Jamboree is next weekend as well.

Things get underway in Baraboo at the Big Top Blowout Friday morning.

Last weekend the Poynette 10-U team, known as The Crush, traveled to Oregon for what was for all but one of the players, their first-ever travel ball tournament. The girls had been practicing through the winter and spring and were geared up to play. The young pitchers attended every Wednesday pitching clinic in Poynette from January through March. Last weekend that work paid off as did the work in the gym learning the Art of Hitting. The girls went 5-0 to claim the championship at the tournament. The two Poynette pitchers, in five games struck out 59 batters while issuing just 15 walks in a total of 24 innings of work.

High School coaches should note that I have added a page on the site for posting the All Conference teams from each conference in the state. Send me those lists and I'll get them posted.

Have a great fastpitch weekend!
Keep it Rising!
