Kenosha Bradford 4, Westosha Central 1
Westosha Central suffered its only defeat of the season in its finale against
Kenosha Bradford 4-1 Friday in Paddock Lake.  Mackenzie Walker earned the win in a two-hit, 11 strike out performance.  Kori Grasso and Walker combined to score all four runs against the Falcons.

The Red Devils opened the scoring in the first inning with a two out double by Grasso and an rbi single by Walker.  They added two more runs in the fourth on a two out rbi double by Grasso.  "Grasso and Walker did
a lot of damage against us.  They are both solid hitters.,."  said Westosha Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe.

The Falcons responded with a run in the fourth inning.  Back-to-back
singles by Brittney Blazich and Taylor Bergles put runners on with no outs.
Kayla Konwent then hit a ball back to Walker who threw to first base.  Blazich
broke for the plate and was called out.  Bergles broke for third and on a wild
throw scored, making the score 3-1.  Bradford added in run in the seventh to make it 4-1 and the Falcons never threatened again.
Miranda Page took the loss for the Falcons.  "Miranda threw a great game for us.  I couldn't ask for more from her.  We just didn't give her the run
support," added Lampe.

The difference in the game was the dominating performance by Walker.   "She was the best pitcher we've seen all year.  Although I never like to lose a game, I tip my hat to her.  She had a great performance.  We learned some things about ourselves tonight.  We'll adjust and be ready in the future,"  the coach concluded.

With the loss the Falcons fall to 17-1.  They will compete again in the regional final when they face the winner of the Burlington-Stoughton game in Paddock Lake on Thursday.
