At Shawano, the Hawks improved to 2-0 against No. 7-ranked Oconto Falls this spring, scoring twice in the fourth inning on a Courtney Baumann single, three walks and a wild pitch by McKenna Larsen.
Oconto Falls closed to 2-1 in the fifth and had a runner on third base with one out, but Shawano turned an inning-ending double play, with catcher Courtney Ainsworth tagging Larsen out at home to end the rally.
Kalen Kroenke earned the victory for Shawano, scattering three hits over four innings. Baumann earned the save, recording the final six outs.
Shawano is 9-4 in the Bay Conference and 11-4 overall. Larsen struck out four, walked four and allowed three hits for Oconto Falls, 9-4 in the Bay and overall.
