Lakeside Lutheran 12, Poynette 10
Lakeside scored an unearned run in the first inning and then saw Poynette erupt for with four in the bottom of the first. The Pumas plated six more runs in the bottom of the third to take a 10-1 lead. Lakeside plated two runs in the top of the sixth and after a strikeout to start the top of the fifth, recorded seven straight hits off Pumas' reliever Alexa Peters. A short fly ball into left field saw the Poynette leftfielder collide with the shortstop and dislodge the ball from her glove. Instead of an out a couple of runs scored. Two more were in before the inning was over and The Warriors put the Pumas down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the seventh. It was the first conference loss for Poynette in the last 38 games. "It just goes to show that it isn't over until it's over," said Poynette coach Bob Tomlinson.

Poynette starting pitcher Jordan Blochwitz two hits through five innings, walked none and fanned six. She re-entered the circle with one out in the top of the seventh with Poynette trailing 11-10. A triple by Hollie Doyle plated Jen Schubkegel and after a strikeout to Elise Matties, Brittany Magsamen singled to score the twelfth run.

Game summary: Westosha hit the ball and hit the ball hard and Union Grove showed their youth giving them too many chances to do so. Union Grove never got the bats rolling against a tough Sarah Fonk. Union Grove coach Ryan Boylen had this to say about the game, "Westosha is a heck of team. We are certainly young and we knew we'd have some ups and downs, some coachable moments, you just hope they don't come against the better teams and unfortunately for us tonight they did."
