Hello Fastpitch Folks,
It's another cold, wet, dreary day in Wisconsin. I'd imagine that most every game scheduled within the Badger state today is either postponed or cancelled. That's the wya it is here in Columbia County where several of our fields have had games played on them this season. The progostications for the rest of the week aren't too promising either with night time lows predicted to be in the 20s and daytime highs in the 30s and 40s. There certainly won't be a lot of drying out done statewide with weather such as that.
I've now updated the Coaches Honor Roll Pages at http://www.fastpitchchronicle.com as well as on the wissports.net softball site. Coaches are urged to check out the pages and submit any changes or additions to me at faspich1@aol.com and I will update the pages.
Rice Lake, Waterloo and Poynette are apt to play some games this Saturday in Poynette. Any other teams interested in getting some games in should contact me at that e-mail address posted in the previous paragraph.
It won't be long and we'll be partnered with wissports.net at our new website at fastpitchchronicle.net so keep abreast of all the writings about fastpitch on these two partnered entities.
A question has been raised by a Turner fan about the most consecutive no-hit games in Wisconsin High School fastpitch history. The current Turner pitcher, Kelsie Packard has twirled three 7-inning no-hitters in a row.
There are no official statewide records at this time but that is a project that The Fastpitch Chronicle is working on. We'll be posting categories in the near future. Nominations so to speak can be submitted but must have documentation. Contact me for what type of documentation is required to be added to the state softball records listings.
