It's another washout!

Today was another wet day. Not one game was played in the state of Wisconsin that we know of. There were some scores reported on the wissports.net site from Monday though. Luther (Onalaska) bet LaCrescent, Minnesota by a score of 11-3 as Mariah Schultz led the way at the plate with two hits while Emily Appold had two rbi for Luther. The winning pitcher was Sara Beckendorf with six strikeouts. Luther will challenge Arcadia and Westby in the Coulee Conference title hunt. They have the pitching to get the job done, the question will be whether or not they can score runs in those games.

Monroe topped Stoughton 10-4 in the Badger South while Portage took down Reedsburg 10-4 in the Badger South while Baraboo stunned Waunakee with a 9-1 score. Ripon nipped Waupuca 6-4. Pepin/Alma opened with big victory over St. Croix Central was Alli Murray took one over the new outfield fence at Haines Field in Pepin. That was fitting as the fence is in memory of her grandfather who passed away last July. Her family donated the new fence to the Haines Field facility. Brea Elleson got the win for Pepin (see game summary on Summaries Page of Fastpitch Chronicle website). Riverdale nipped Southwestern 7-6 while Deerfield took Dodgeland down 10-0 and River Valley beat McFarland 5-4. Horicon, now a member of the Trailways Conference played it's first-ever conference game therein and took Fall River apart 14-0. It was Roger Schliewe's 401st win at Horicon. There are others scores on the wissports.net site so check those out.

Try as I might I am having trouble like others are in attempting to navigate the statistical portion, the roster page, the schedule page of the new wissports SportNgin site. I have been able to get our roster on there but posting stats is more than I have been able to figure out. You can get help at SportNgin site so try that.

I'll start working on the Poynette Jamboree schedule soon. Teams entered in that should keep checking these bulletins for a link to the Jamboree page of The Faspitch Chronicle website.

I did some more updating in the Coaches Honor Roll Pages tonight. There were a few 200 career wins coaches that had not submitted their information to me as welll as several coaches who now won at least 100 varsity games.

Congratulations to those coaches. If you or your coach reaches one of the Fastpitch Chronicle mileposts on this website please notify me. I'll update the page and send the coach a Fastpitch Chronicle Career Wins Award Certificate immediately - no waiting, just quick service. That's what the Chronicle is all about.

Be sure to tell your fellow coaches, both head coaches and assistants as well as your players, parents and fans about the return of The Fastpitch Chronicle. They will not need a paid subscriptio to read the information on the Fastpitch Chronicle (both .com and .net sites). Speaking of fastpitchchronicle.net - I'm not doing too well in getting that built. Yes, I know I'm a retired teacher and do not have a new job but it's just tough finding time to be retired and get that kind of stuff done - especically when it involves so much technical stuff to know in building the .net site. I'll keep at it.

The information that appears on wissports.net about softball written by Norbert Durst is not Fastpitch Chronicle content. It is wissports.net content and requires a subscription to access. It's important to keep that in mind. I've had quite a few people e-mail and tell me that they can't access the conference previews that have been published in the past couple of weeks. If you don't have a paid subscription you won't be able to read it.

It's Late! Have a great day tomorrow!
Keep it Rising!
Bob
