Germantown defeated Whitefish Bay 12-2 in 5 innings to win their Regional Championship.
The Warhawks built a 5-0 lead over the first 4 innings and used a 7-run 5th inning to enact the mercy rule. Emmy Coulter (3-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 SB) led the way on offense, with Ally Pentek (2-2, R, RBI), Julia Sina (2-2 2B, 2 R, RBI, SB), and Kayla Preiss (2-3, 2 2B, 2 R, RBI, SB) also notching multi-hit games.
Kylie Otto started in the circle and got the win, raising her record to 7-2. She pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up 2 runs (both earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6. Alaina Williams threw 2 pitches to get the final out.
With the win, Germantown raised their record to 16-3-1 and will face Brookfield East in the sectional semifinal on Tuesday.
