The most prestigious one-day event in the state for D-3-4-5 teams

Saturday May 10th is the date of the SlamFest -- contact Gilman Head Coach Brian Phelps

The Gilman-Thorp Slamfest director Brian Phelps contacted The Fastpitch Chronicle publisher this morning announcing that one of the teams that had entered the SlamFest has had to withdraw.

Teams suddenly withdrawing from an event such as this really throws a pipe wrench into the inner-workings of event organization. It affects more than just the team or teams they were to play. It affects the entire event because of the scramble, similar to the card game 52 Pick Up.

If your program has lost games off your schedule due to weather an lack of open dates the two teams involve have available and you want to get into the SlamFest just contact Brian Phelps in Gilman -- but for heaven's sakes don't withdraw from a scheduled event and cause chaos there.

Brian can be reached at 715-202-0800
