Maiya Tearney scattered seven hits and allowed just one earned run while striking out 8 for the Spartans. For good measure, she blasted a two-run home run and added a single.
West also got a solo home run and run-scoring double from Shae Hagel. Tearney and Hagel each had two hits in the Spartans' nine-hit effort.
West (2-2 overall, 2-0 in North Shore Conference play) travels to Menomonee Falls for a non-conference game Friday at 4:30 p.m.
