Germantown opened their season with a 3-2 come from behind victory over host Brookfield East.
Trailing 2-0 with two outs in the top of the 6th, Junior LF Ally Pentek (2-3, 2B, R) doubled and Senior SS Kayla Preiss (1-2, HR, R, 2 RBI) followed with a game tieing 2-run homer to center. Senior 1B Madison Werner (2-3, 3B, HR, R, RBI) then hit a go-ahead solo home to center to lead off top of the 7th.
Senior pitcher Kylie Otto went the distance in the circle, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits while walking 1 and striking out 6.
The Warhawks return to action on Saturday in a non-conference battle at Wisconsin Lutheran.
