The Northwoods Jamboree in Poynette started years ago and gave many teams north of Highway 10 their first opportunity to get on a field without snow on it.
In the early years Poynette hosted eight schools but did not participate in the event. Teams traveled to Poynette from the Northcentral part of the state from places like Stratford, Gilman, Thorp, DC Everest, Marathon, Appleton Xavier, Spencer, Stanley-Boyd and more. Others from farther south including Wisconsin Heights, River Valley and others joined up.
This year's event features Stratford, Gilman, Stanley-Boyd, St. Mary's Springs, Wild Rose, Augusta, Manawa, and Poynette. There will be four, three-team pools with all teams getting two games.
We are looking to add a team willing to play against Stratford and Poynette on that day. A school's WIAA division of play does matter. When the Division 3 rankings pop on this website and on the WFSCA website both Stratford and Poynette will be highly ranked.
