Lakeside Lutheran's Keightan Rank took care of business in the circle today the Warriors nipped Kettle Moraine Lutheran 4-2
The winners broke up a tie game with two big runs in the sixth inning the Rank held of the Kettle Moraine' bats. All-in-all she struck out 14 batters and scattered seven hits.
Meanwhile the Warriors collected just five hits but five free passes is like getting 121 hits in all. A coach can do a lot of things when there are runners aboard. Emma Smulders had two hits for the winners including a double and Abby Meis homered.
Lakeside Head Coach Matt Doering offered these comments following the victory. "It was another nice win. We left a number of runners on base, but our defense and pitching were sound throughout the game. Emma Smulders had a big hit for us with her 6th inning double to give us the lead and we never let them answer.
Kieghtan Rank had another solid outing with 14 strikeouts and she scattered their hits.
