Pirates take down Wisconsin Heights 13=3 in 5 innings

Freshman righthander Ally Schaumann allowed no base runners through three innings

The Pirates rebounded from a tight 1-0 loss on Monday with a 13-3 win over Wisconsin Heights.

Ally Schaumann toed he pitcher's plate for the first three innings for Waterloo allowing no runs, no hits and no baserunners and struck out four  in capturing the victory. Neveah Watson handled the fourth and fifth allowing three runs, five hits and struck out one. 

The Pirates scored two in the first, three in the second, four in the third and four in the fourth on the way to the five-inning victory.

Leading hitters for Waterloo were Brenna Huebner and Marissa Spoke with three hits apiece and Calli Davison went 2x2. One of Huebner's hits was a double.
