Westosha Central took advantage of free passes and 16 hits to defeat Lake Geneva Badger 15-2 in 5 innings.
Meghan Lampos earned the win facing 10 pitchers and striking out 8. Sam Erber finished up the final two innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The Falcons 5 walks, 2 hit batters and 4 hits to score 11 runs in the opening frame. Singles by Lampos and Allie Loucas each plated a run and Emma Smith's double scored two.
]They added a run in the 2nd when Lila McNeill singled and scored on another Lampos single. In the 4th Westosha Central put three more over the plate. Mykenna Sturino led off with a tripled and scored on a McNeill single. A single by Erber scored Maya Gagliardi and Alex McKinney drove in Lampos with a single. The Badgers finally scored in their half of the 5th. Louise Blakeley and Lacey Behm both singled. Blakeley scored on an error and Behm scored on a single by Kenna Peterson. But Erber set down the last batter to finish the game.
"We came out hot and had good plate discipline" said Co-Head Coach Tom Lampe following the game. "We hit the ball hard Meg was in command in the circle. It was a good team win."
With the win, the Falcons improve to 7-0 in the SLC and 9-1 overall. They return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Waterford for a conference rematch.
