The first game was a lot of offense by Poynette as they won 16-1 on 15 hits, three doubles and three home runs all by shortstop Grace Gavinski including a grand slam and eight rbi.

Morgan Gunderson got the win scattering five hits and striking out 9. The loser was Kooper Killmon. "The score does not really show it but but Kooper Killmon threw better than it might seem," said Lakeside coach Matt Doering.

The second game was an absolute gem of game.  It was a battle from start to finish.  Lakeside's Kieghtan Rank and Poynete's Kassidy Mccaffery both were throwing really well.

"We strung together a number of really good at bats with 2 out and scored two runs on a hit by Kooper Killmon in the sixth," said Doering.  "We added one in the 7th on back to back singles by Molly Muchka and Emma Smulders to take a 3-0 lead."

Poynette strung together 4 straight hits to tie it in the bottom of the 7th, however.

Lakeside added a run in the 8th on an infield single by Cait Lloyd (She took second on an errant throw) then a bunt by Molly Muchka and a sacrifice fly by Emma Smulders drove in the lead and eventual winning run."

Grace Gavinski singled to lead off the inning but was doubled up with a sacrifice bunt attempt was popped up low in front of the catcher who made the catch and threw to first. Rank then coaxed a roller that ended the game.

Lakeside head coach Matt Doering had this to say after the game. "This should be a great memory for the girls.  It was a phenomenal win for them.  Winning at Poynette is always tough and I am really proud of how they bounced back in game 2."
