Germantown 15, West Allis Hale/Centrall 4 - SUSPENDED IN TOP OF 5

Germantown was beating West Allis Hale/Central 15-4 in the top of the 5th with the bases loaded, 1 out, and a 1-0 count to Maddy Balsiger, when the game was suspended.  The game will be resumed on May 9 before the next game between the two teams in Germantown.

The Warhawks jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the 1st.  Junior 2B Julia Sina (1-2, BB, RBI, R) hit a sacrifice fly and senior 1B Kenzie Thomas (2-2, 2B, BB, RBI, 2 R) singled to drive in runs.

Germantown broke the game open in the 2nd.  After junior OF Emmy Coulter (1-2, 3 BB, RBI, 2 R, SB) singled, senior CF Maddy Balsiger (4-4, 2 HR, 3 R, 5 RBI, SB) launched a 2-run homer to center.  Later in the inning, freshmen catcher Kennedy Bennett (2-4, 2B, RBI) hit an RBI double and sophomore Alaina Williams (2-4, R, RBI) and Balsiger had RBI singles to make the score 11-1.    

The Warhawks tacked on 1 in the 3rd and 3 more in the 4th.  Balsiger deposited her second homer of the day over the left field wall and senior OF Madison Preiss (1-1, RBI) had an RBI single to make the score 15-1. 

Senior pitcher Kendal Thomas started in the circle and is in line for the win.  She pitched 3 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 1 hit and two walks while striking out 1.  Alaina Williams took over and pitched 1 inning.

Germantown hosts Menomonee Falls on Friday in a battle of unbeatens in the GMC.
