New Holstein is currently 5-3 with tough losses to Luxemburg-Casco, Lomira, and WLA. The Huskies had a conference game thriller at Kiel last night coming away with a 5-2 victory.
Senior, Natalie Ziebell had a record breaking night in the circle and at the plate. She wheeled 12 strikeouts while giving up only 3 hits and no earned runs. Natalie has shared pitching duties during her whole four-year varsity career and last night she hit her 300th career strikeout! She also went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and 5 RBIs! She will go on to play at Lakeland University in Sheboygan.
In an even better testament to the game and community, the Kiel Raiders Softball Team recognized one of our sophomore softball players, Courtney Krebsbach that passed away in a car crash in the Fall with a memorial flag and moment of silence before the game. I can’t say it enough…it’s more than a game!
